Anti-Rail Activist Out of Office

When I heard from friends that Gerald was gone, I was a bit shocked. He was one of the major architects behind killing Austin light rail in 2000 and I don't think anyone should ever forgive him for that. He got pulled out by the Obama undertow. Kinda feel bad for Ben Wear, he lost one of his three sources.

The guy played shortstop in the Red Sox farm system. You can forgive him an awful lot for that.

Everyone loves a good scapegoat!

Well, that's the end of an anti-rail partisan in Austin. I've been celebrating Christmas yesterday. By the way, I'm writing this comment on the day before light rail opens in Phoenix.

Agreed on the Ben Wear comment. Too bad we can't vote him out too. I'd pay for that man's bus pass if he'd actually ever get on one or the commuter rail and/or write anything interesting about transit. He love ROADS!

Daugherty is like one of the stormtroopers compared to Krusee's Palpatine. Not even close.
